Dumfries and Galloway is located in the South West Of Scotland and has geographical borders with Strathclyde, Borders and Cumbria regions.

The band was formed in 1991 and is based in Dumfries. We attract players from all over the region and beyond and are continually looking to recruit new players to every section of the band. Members travel in excess of 300 miles to attend practice and functions and at present we have members traveling from Dunoon, Glasgow, Manchester and NE England.

Dumfries is situated conveniently to the M74 and M6 Motorways.

The purpose of this site is to give our visitors information on the band, our history and our progress. We hope you enjoy your visit and will take the time to sign our guest book. The site has been recently re-engineered but retains a number of the features which brought pleasing comments from Bob Dunsire's Bagpipe Web Directory a few years ago.

The band is presently competing in Grade 2, review our results to find out how we are getting on. The band practices every Wednesday night in Locharbriggs Social Club near Dumfries and are grateful to the club for their continued support. The band is predominantly a competing band but through the year supports local events,Galas and is available for hire. We can also provide smaller groups or individuals on request.
